A dental assistant takes care of the patient from the moment they walk into the clinic to the moment they leave. They accompany the patient at each step of the way and help the dentist during the procedure. Thus their work is more focused on interaction with patients and less focused on conducting the process. However, dental assistants have in-depth knowledge of the procedure and assist the dentist during the process. So the question stands as, how much do dental assistants make?
Although dental assistants need to be good at their work and require good enough training; the dental assistant industry is expanding rapidly. If you are looking to become a dental assistant, the market has a lot of scope for you; and you stand to earn a lot of money in the next few years. Unless you are not a people person and dislike interaction with strangers and sterilizing equipment, you could do great as a dental assistant.
Apart from getting paid worthwhile; a dental assistant’s job has many perks, the most important of which is that excellent working conditions surround a dental assistant. Dental clinics have a positive vibe in their air; with a clean and hygienic environment; and unlike other workplaces, a dental clinic provides an excellent opportunity for growth. Not many career options offer the chance to work indoors in an air-conditioned environment, but dental assistants get much more than all of that. They get an opportunity to give back to the community.
