We are a dental assistant program in Sugar Land, Texas that is approved and regulated by the Texas Workforce Commission. We have had many dental assistants from The Woodlands take our program. Our number one goal is to help our students learn, grow and graduate with enough experience to enter the workforce right away. We assist our students with proper resume writing techniques.

As part of the curriculum, our school offers onsite CPR certification at no additional cost.

Our Belief

At Greatwood Dental Assisting Program, our belief is that “by providing students a hands-on experience they are gaining both knowledge and skill thus better equipping them for a successful career as a dental assistant.” – Dr. Akbar Jafferally, DMD

We strongly encourage our students to come in anytime the Dental office is open to work on real life patients. We offer small class sizes, a knowledgeable staff, and unlimited hands-on experience.

Our students are able to take the state exam at our location; this is great because it allows you to take the exam in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

Requirements for enrolling

-Texas State Driver’s License or ID/ Passport

-High School Diploma or GED

-Social Security Card

-Tour of Facility

-Enrollment Policies (TWC form CSC-005, provided at the time of registration)

I recommend the Greatwood Dental Assisting program to everyone because it is really great and helpful. They offer hands-on training with real patients. Also the instructors and the Dentist really take their time explaining everything to you and they make sure you are doing things correctly. I would definitely recommend the program to anyone interested.
